Pre-experimental one group pre-test post-test research design was used in purposively selected government schools of Darchha VDC, Palpa . The population of the study was all school teachers working at government schools. The sample size of the study was 64. Pre-test was done by using Self-administered structured questionnaire. The educational intervention package was developed and administered on the next day after pre-test. After two weeks of educational intervention, post-test was done using same instrument to the same participants. The data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics such as percentage, mean, standard deviation and inferential statistics such as Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test for measuring the difference of pre and post test scores. The findings revealed a significant difference in knowledge of school teachers about first aid management before and after intervention. Mean score and standard deviation on pre- test were 25. 26 and 6.15 and on post- test were 34. 40 and 7.41 respectively. The change in knowledge between pre-test and post-test was calculated by Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test and significant difference was found with p value 0.000. Based on the study findings, it is concluded that educational intervention is effective in increasing the knowledge about first aid management among school teachers. Therefore, it is recommended that similar type of educational program can be conducted in different setting as well as groups. UR - http://nhrc.gov.np/contact/ ER -
