ANC can serve as a platform for the delivery of highly-effective health interventions that can reduce preventable maternal and newborn deaths. It is evident that timely antenatal care (ANC) is an opportunity to prevent the direct causes of maternal mortalities and reduction of fetal and neonatal deaths related to obstetric complications. Antenatal care service is the one of the main pillars of the safe motherhood program Objectives: To assess the proportion of antenatal care services utilization and identify the factors influencing antenatal care services utilization among mothers who gave live birth in the past one year in Nabrajpur rural municipality, Siraha district of Nepal Methods: descriptive cross - sectional study was done among mother having under one children were chosen within the geographical boundary of Nabrajpur rural municipality, Siraha district among the sample of 187. Major findings: Among the 187 participants the mean age of the respondents was 22.14 years More than one fourth (27.3%) of the participants had at least secondary level of education followed by primary level (24.1%) and Higher secondary school level (5.9%). Least of the participants (0.5%) had university degree. Almost 81.28% of the participants were house wife and most of them (95.2%) were Hindus followed by 4.8% Muslim. It was confirmed that the level of education of the mother (p=<0.0001), respondent's husbands education (p=0.0001), age during marriage (p=0.018) and age during first child (p=0.02) were most important contributing factors for ANC utilization. Conclusion: This study found that 94.65% of participants utilized ANC services during their last pregnancy. This study found that 55.93% of women had four or more ANC checkups during their last pregnancy which is higher than national data and found level of education of the mother (p=<0.0001), respondent's husbands education (p=0.0001), age during marriage(p=0.018) and age during first child (p=0.02) were most important contributing factors for ANC utilization.
