Having different antimicrobial, antioxidant, antidiabetic, antitumor etc. Properties and the applications in various fields such as food industry, biochemistry, analytical chemistry, electrochemistry, inorganic syntheses, medicine etc., the chemistry of vanadium , copper , Schiffbases alone and the complexes synthesized by the mixing them is the one of intensively studied fields in chemistry. In this work, the vanadium and copper complexes containing different Schiff base ligands synthesized followed by physical characteristic studies and elemental analyses and analytically characterized by using Fourier Transform Infra-red spectroscopy, UV-Visible spectroscopy and X-ray Diffraction spectroscopy. The synthesized ligands and their respective complexes were tested for antibacterial activity against one-gram positive bacteria (Bacillus subtilis) and three-gram negative bacteria (Escherichai coli, Klebsiella pneumonia and Pseudomonas aeruginosa ) and also these synthesized samples were tested for antioxidant and antidiabetic agent for the biological study and concluded as their greater effectively as biological agents than that of ligands. On analyzing the different samples for the biological property, Vo (IV0) complexes can be concluded as a better antimicrobial and antioxidant agent as compared to copper complexes while all the samples are concluded to be shown less α-amylase inhibitory percentage.
