Gaia:ABSTRACT: Intermittent peritoneal dialysis is one alternative mode of therapy to tide over acute crisis in both acute and chronic renal failures. 32 eligible patients underwent peritoneal dialysis. Complications related to infection were seen mostly, 11 patients showed signs and symptoms of peritonitis. Incidence of peritonitis was found 34.3% which is high in comparison to other students. Gram positive infections were seen in most of the patient. Staph aureus was found to be single most common organism. All the patients responded well to ciprofloxacin.
