The main objective of the study was to find out the knowledge and practice regarding Essential Newborn Care among Primi para. The sample was collected by using non profitability purposive sampling technique. The data was collected by using the structured, semi structured and observation checklist. Interview method was adopted for the collection of data. The result of the study reveals that majority of mothers were aware about Essential Newborn care regarding practice. Most of mothers were doing the cord care, eye care, colostrums feeding, initial breast feeding and appropriately breast feeding technique but they lack of knowledge regarding practice about hand washing, 6 clean method, first baby bath, danger signs of the baby and names of vaccine. Thus it can be concluded that focused should be given to ENC with the emphasis on hand washing technique, 6 clean method & delay baby bathing. | ||
