Sumario: | Road traffic injuries kill nearly 1.3 million women, men and children around the world every year and are responsible for hundreds of thousands of injuries and disability. World Health Organization estimates predict that road traffic injury will increase from being the ninth leading cause of death globally in 2004 to be the fifth leading cause of death by 2030. In 2004, road traffic injury was the tenth leading cause of death in the WHO South-East region and was responsible for 2% of all causes of mortality. |
