Date: 2001 Background Hepatitis B virus, a silent killer is the major cause of morbidity and mortality. Children are 230 times more likely to develop these. Awareness on transmission of Hepatitis B virus is needed to protect our future generations from this infection. Methods A quasi-experimental study design was conducted among government high school students of Dharan. Three government schools were selected using lottery method. Equal number of students (45) from each class was selected by simple random sampling technique and interviewed by using semi-structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed in frequency and percentage by using Two Population Proportion Test.
