Summary, etc. Abstract: <br/><br/>objective : The purpose of this study is to assess the comparative situation of Vitamin A deficiency , eye general health problem, family environment , and the nutritional situation of Primary School Children in the Mountain Hill and Terai area of Nepal. <br/><br/>Method: 6-11yrs old group, male 112, female 80 , total 192 samples was collected from 4 Primary school children of very remote area of Mountain, Hill and Terai region. Interveiwed, eye and general health check up by senior health assistant and ophthalmic assistant, treatment on the spot, 200000IU Vitamin A capsule distribution.<br/><br/> Result : Terai children were taller than the Hill and Mountain children, number of smoker and alcohol drinkers in family was highest in the Hill. Avaerage VAD cases were found total 306%, among them 9.3% in the terai,3.5% in the Hill and 0.0% in Mountain area. Except VAD cases, Mountain area's Primary School children eye and general health condition was worse than the Terai and the Hill area. Knowledge about vitamin A source was almost none. Vitamin A supplementation rate are very high in the Terai . <br/><br/>Summary : Nutrition education. VAD supplementation program, kitchen garden program gradually it seems to be preferable to apply all over the country for the improvement, prevention and control of VAD, worse health situation and the nutritional problem. <br/><br/>Keywords: Vitamin A deficiency, Primary school children , Nepal (mountain, Hill, Terai), Public health, Community Nutrition, Food intake.
