Summary, etc. | ABSTRACT:<br/><br/>Background: The changing characteristics of the population, health care system and epidemiological transition have led to a shift to interdisciplinary teamwork in order to provide cost-effective, quality and comprehensive care. However, many research shows that it is not routine practice in many health care jurisdictions. It is imperative to understand the health professional perception regarding teamwork in this pandemic condition. The main aim of this study is to find out perception interdisciplinary team work in COVID-19 management among nurse during. <br/><br/>Methodology: An institutional based descriptive cross-sectional study design was used among 216 nurses. A non-probability purposive sampling technique was used to select study sample. Self-administered semi-structured questionnaires Nurse Practitioner Primary Care Organizational Climate Questionnaire (NP-PCOCQ) was adopted with necessary modifications. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze obtained data. <br/><br/>Results: The study findings show that mean age of the respondents was 31 years. Among 216 respondents majority of nurse were from upper caste group and had completed bachelor's level of education. About 2/3rd of respondents were with 8 years of mean work experience. The overall mean and standard deviation were found to be 2.66 and 0.383 respectively for perception on interdisciplinary teamwork. The respondents with negative perception and positive perception towards interdisciplinary teamwork 56.5% and 43.5% respectively. Perception regarding nurse-physician relations have highest mean whereas nurse-administrative relations have minimum. <br/><br/>Conclusion: Overall positive perception of nurses is low and the nurseās perception regarding nurse-administrative relations seems to be much lower than others sub-scales. Organization need to create a favorable working environment to all the staffs through critical planning, developing strategies, regular communication and sharing to deliver safe patient care. <br/><br/>Keywords: Perception, interdisciplinary teamwork, Nurse practitioner |
