Knowledge on and attitude towards abortion: A study on female student of +2 in selected areas of Lalitpur.

Online resources: Summary: ABSTRACT: The study on the knowledge and attitude towards abortion was carried out by collecting primary data from the selected area in Lalitpur. The respondents were female students of +2 levels between age 16 to 23 years. The main objective of the research was to explore the lelvel of knowledge and attitudes towards abortion among late adolescent's girls. The collection of the data procedure was the based on self structure questionnaire and using software as dbase and microcomputer generated the finding. The frequency tables, cross table were used for interrelationship between selected independent and dependent variable. This study includes respondents of different age group. The majority of the respondents were age 18 and the lowest proportions of respondent were of the age 23. The majority of the respondent's different age group among the induced abortion within 28 weeks by oneself or by other was of age 22. Induced abortion by health personnel were of age 23. Didn't response meaning of miscarriage abortion were of age 22. People who responded meaning of miscarriage abortion due to lack of nutrition were of age 23. The household facility available for respondent with access to radio\ television, computer, motorcycle and four-wheeler showed a negative relationship with abortion. There is no educational facility available for respondent parent. Educational facility provides opportunities for interaction with low abortion. The female +2 students are not more heard about abortion. So it is a major determine of abortion. Majority of the respondents was unaware about knowledge and attitude so focus should be given in creating awareness . Suggested effective means of communication should be used for awareness creation and beyond there is need of inclusion of knowledge regarding abortion.
