For hypothesis testing independent t- test was used at 5% level of significance. Out of 100 respondents, the mean age of the respondents 34.53 (S.D=10.762). The minimum age of respondents was 17 and maximum age was 57. Three-fourth (77%) was literate and one-fourth (23%) were illiterate. The mean score of respondents on risk factors of Breast Cancer was 5.49 (S.D=2.85), mean score on sign and symptom was 3.63(S.D=1.18), mean score on preventive measures was 7.85(S.D=2.49) and on Breast Self Examination was 2.02(S.D=3.43). The total mean score of literate respondent was 21.01(S.D=3.96) and that of illiterate respondent was 17.9(S.D=3.3) and the level of awareness regarding Breast Cancer between literate and illiterate respondents was statistically significant (p=0.001). Similarly, total mean score of respondents with family history of Breast Cancer was 39.60(S.D=3.13) and that of respondent with negative family history of Breast Cancer was 22.13(S.D=8.76) which was highly statistically significant (p=0.000). Based on the findings of the study it can be concluded that majority of the respondents knew that Beast Cancer is preventable but only few had knowledge regarding Breast Self Examination. As Breast Cancer can be prevented if detected early so the women should be made aware of those preventive measures of Breast Cancer and early detection measures especially Breast Self Examination so that the incidence of Breast Cancer will be decreased.
