Practice of family planning with hokse-1, kavre: A case study of hokse VDC-1, kavre district, Nepal.

Online resources: Summary: ABSTRACT: Development problem of Nepal are unique and challenging because of its mountainous topography, geo-political situation as a buffer state, rural life style and rapid growth of population. Family planning play a major role in Nepal's overall development. So The main aim of this study is to examine the knowledge, attitude and practice of contraceptive methods/ devices among currently married 15-49 yrs. woman according to the demographic variables. This study has been under taken through questionnaire and interview survey those who are 1549 yrs married men and women and living at Hokse -1 Kavre. The study has been done by random sampling method by which 35 houses are selected out of 100 houses. The topic of this study is "Practice of family planning with Hokse-1, Kavre".and the study rivaled that In this area 20-24 age grouped population is in maximum number, In this area 13.1% are illiterate and 86.9% are literate, The main sources of knowledge of family planning are school, F.M radio and Friends, 85.72% of the couple use the family planning devices and 13.69% don't use such planning, Among the temporary contraceptive devices of male condom and that of female, pills and sangini are use most, Males are found to apply permanent contraception more & The major reasons for not using family planning are pregnancy and desire of more children. Result's of the study suggest that There are more couples using temporary contraceptive devices so, the free service of providing such devices should be managed effectively, Some side effects are seen among the contraceptive users. So, there is need of counseling and awareness about the side- effects should be enhanced & There are some people who think that the contraceptive devices are harmful and they do not use family planning so they need good counseling about contraceptive devices.
