Study cases were having singleton pregnancy after 28 weeks of gestation. Those cases were compared with reference (control)) population of 20-29 years. Z-test was done and result expressed at p<0.05. Significant test results were obtained for HDP (16% vs 4%, Z = 2.86), CS delivery (27% vs 8%, Z=3.65), LBW (25% vs13%, Z=2.19), perinatal death (7% vs 1%, Z=2.2) and combined antepartum complication (34% vs 11%, Z=4.03). There was higher rate of preterm delivery (14% vs 6%, Z=1.9) and still-birth (6% vs 1%, Z=1.95); PPH (10% vs 4%, Z=1.68) and need for neonatal admission (17% vs 10%, Z=1.46) was also high though not statistically significant at p<0.05. No difference was observed for gross congenital anomaly in live births, Apgar score, SGA, APH and anemia. | ||
